The business has a strong reputation across commercial, retail, education and community projects, with a solid pipeline of secured work across Victoria. They are looking for someone who is commercially sharp, organised and confident managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.
The Role:
As Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial delivery of the project, including procurement, contracts, variations, cost reporting and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, issue and manage subcontractor packages
- Assist with procurement and letting of trade packages
- Manage RFIs, variations, progress claims and EOTs
- Review subcontractor claims and process payments
- Maintain accurate project cost reports and forecasts
- Support the Project Manager with contract administration and reporting
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
- Ensure commercial records, contracts and documentation are up to date
- Assist with project close-out and final accounts
You will ideally have experience working as a Contract Administrator on commercial construction projects, preferably with exposure to retail, education, health, industrial or similar new build projects.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as a CA with a commercial builder
- Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Ability to manage variations, claims and project documentation
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience using construction management systems
- A proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
