The Role
Initially, you will be working on a major hotel refurbishment project before transitioning to a new-build development from inception through to completion. Reporting to a highly regarded Contracts Manager, you'll gain exposure to premium projects while working within a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost forecasts, monitor project financial performance, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Provide financial reporting input to the Management Team.
- Ensure site supervisory staff have a clear understanding of the project's scope of works and subcontract inclusions.
- Prepare tender documentation for subcontract procurement, including tender packages, pricing schedules, scopes of work, tender comparisons, and subcontractor recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Manage progress claims and liaise with the client regarding Head Contract claims.
- Assist in the commercial management of projects from contract award through to completion.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Proven local experience as a Contracts Administrator in Australia, or experience gained in New Zealand or the UK while currently residing in Australia.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multiple construction projects from start to finish.
- A sound understanding of Australian commercial and contractual practices relating to Head Contracts.
- Strong knowledge of major building trades.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing projects from a contractual and commercial perspective.
- A strong pipeline of current and future projects.
