You will work as part of the estimating and pre-construction team, with responsibilities including:
- Preparing detailed cost plans and estimates across concept, design development and tender stages
- Managing subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Preparing trade comparisons, scope reviews and tender analysis
- Reviewing project documentation to identify cost risks and opportunities
- Providing value engineering and cost advice to support competitive tenders
- Working closely with pre-construction, design and delivery teams
- Identifying buildability issues and procurement opportunities throughout the tender process
- At least 3 years estimating experience within commercial construction
- Exposure to commercial new build and/or fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of subcontractor pricing, tender analysis and trade scopes
- Ability to prepare detailed estimates and cost plans
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A desire to develop into a Senior Estimator position
- $130k–$170k package, depending on experience
- Clear pathway to Senior Estimator within 12 months for a strong performer
- Work on a diverse pipeline of $2M–$30M new build and fit-out projects
- Join an established national builder turning over approximately $200M annually
- Strong track record of developing and promoting staff internally
- Exposure to interesting projects across education, health, government, council and industrial sectors
- Strong pipeline of work
