Projects are ranging from $100m - $500m and within a multitude of sectors including Commercial, Education, Health, Data Centre, Industrial and Residential.
SPE Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of major construction packages from procurement through to completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal site teams
- Monitor and manage project programme, cost control, and forecasting
- Drive procurement activities including tendering, scope reviews, and subcontract negotiations
- Oversee design coordination and resolve technical construction issues
- Ensure compliance with WHS, QA, and environmental requirements
- Prepare and manage RFIs, variations, progress claims, and reporting
- Work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to achieve project milestones
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies early
- Support project planning, staging, and construction methodology reviews
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and/or Site Engineers within the team
- Assist in ECI and pre-construction activities where required
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate day-to-day delivery of construction packages on site
- Assist with procurement activities including subcontractor and supplier engagement
- Prepare and manage RFIs, shop drawings, scopes of works, and technical documentation
- Monitor project programme and support construction sequencing activities
- Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and site teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Support cost control, variations, and project reporting processes
- Conduct site inspections and monitor safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Track subcontractor progress and assist in managing project milestones
- Attend and contribute to site, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
- Assist with planning and coordinating upcoming construction activities
- Maintain project documentation, registers, and reporting systems
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget
