The Assistant Project Manager role undertakes key project and portfolio functions within the Project team responsible for delivery a variety of projects from refurbiushments, new build, minor works and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders;
- Support the SPM and or Project leads as part of a project team
- Prepare monthly forecast budgets and cost reporting
- Prepare, manage and review tender processes and lead negotiation of contractual terms and conditions
- Manage and run the administration of variation claims, progress claims and all other financial matters relating to the project according to contractual obligations and time lines
- Produce short-term programs including resource levels for an assigned area of a project
- Assist in the design and delivery phases of projects
- Tertiary Qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, engineering and other related disciplines
- 1-3 years Melbourne experience working on construction projects or building services
- Design Coordination, Contract Administration or Project Coordination skills viewed preferably
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as report writing required
- A polished and professional approach to work
- A hunger to learn and a proactive attitude
