About The Role
- Capable of managing the tender process from start to finish
- Be responsible for take offs and negotiating with subcontractors
- Receive support from directors of the business
- Develop relationships with clients and key stake-holders
- Complete cost evaluations, and pricing analysis of quotes.
- Consider and cost preliminary requirements for project delivery.
- Develop project budgets, cost models, and bid proposals, suggesting and assessing cost-saving / VE options.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on scope and costs.
- Monitor market conditions and integrate insights into cost forecasting.
- Complete peer reviews of tender estimates.
- Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating tools and processes.
- 8+ years industry experience, ideally in the commercial space
- Understand current rates in the commercial environment
- Ability to communicate with sub-contractors and suppliers
- Eye for detail with take-offs etc
- Must have worked on Tenders over $20 mil
- Have proven relevant experience working for a Tier 2 or 3 Builder
- Local experience is required for this role
- Already be in a Senior Estimator position or ready to take a step up
- Exposure to a variety of projects to build your experience
- Ability to run your own tenders how you want to
