We’re working closely with an establsihed client side project management business to appoint a Project Development Manager –Wind/solar/battery Energy. This is a senior-level opportunity to play a vital role in delivering large-scale renewable projects that are instrumental to Australia’s clean energy future.

Our client is a recognised group in the renewable ansd built form construction sector, with a growing pipeline of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects across the country.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone looking to take full ownership of renewable energy projects from early-stage development right through to construction readiness. You'll be across everything from planning and environmental approvals to grid connections, technical assessments, stakeholder engagement, and commercial negotiations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Development (planning) – 70%
- Lead end-to-end development of wind projects through to ready-to-build stage
- Oversee planning, environmental, resource, and grid connection workstreams
- Manage design inputs, procurement planning, and feasibility studies
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery timelines are met
- Develop business cases and budgets to support investment decisions
- Assist with annual business planning and ongoing financial tracking
- Work with finance to manage project spend and forecasting
- Act as the key contact for consultants, partners, and community stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, and other relevant parties
- Align project activities with wider business objectives
- Procure and oversee external advisors for environmental, planning, and grid studies
- Manage contracts to ensure project requirements are delivered to scope
- Monitor performance and progress to support Final Investment Decision (FID)
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science, planning, commerce, or similar
- Demonstrated experience in wind project development within Australia
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational and project management capabilities
- Knowledge of the grid processes, and regulatory landscape
- Additional project management or renewable energy certifications will be well regarded
