About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and supervising all construction activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Oversee the excavation, structure and finishes phases of the project
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met
- Provide leadership and guidance to site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Monitor project progress and report to the Site Manager on a regular basis
- Act as a mentor to junior staff, preparing them for future leadership roles
You ideally will have worked on Commercial or Education projects as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor delivering projects in excess of $30m
- Carpentry background
- Previous experience with Tier 1, 2 or well known T3 construction companies on Commercial or Education projects.
- Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in managing excavation, structure, finishes, facade and landscaping phases of construction projects
- Ability to effectively lead a team and solve problems under pressure
- Desire to advance into a Site Manager role at the business in the future
- Proven experience completing projects through to completion
- Proven longevity at past businesses
- A can do and positive attitude
