Our client is seeking a driven and commercially astute Project Manager to join their Melbourne Head Office, supporting the delivery of industrial, logistics and CAPEX projects across our portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects across the full development lifecycle, working closely with Development and Asset Management teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager – Industrial, Logistics & CAPEX, you will be responsible for managing allocated development and capital expenditure projects from inception through to completion and defects liability.
You will play a key role in leading design and construction processes, managing consultants and contractors, overseeing procurement and ensuring strong commercial, safety and stakeholder outcomes.

This role requires someone who can confidently manage complexity, drive results and collaborate effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Inception & Conversion
  • Support feasibility, due diligence and investment proposals
  • Assist in preparing development briefs and procurement strategies
  • Coordinate consultants and manage concept design
  • Contribute to town planning submissions and approvals
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
Design Completion & Procurement
  • Lead design development and documentation
  • Finalise and implement procurement strategies
  • Manage tender processes, RFP documentation and contractor selection
  • Facilitate updated cost plans, contingencies and escalation reviews
Project Delivery
  • Administer head contracts and manage contractor performance
  • Monitor program, budget, quality and safety performance
  • Conduct regular site inspections and stakeholder meetings
  • Review and approve variations
  • Oversee practical completion, handover and defects management
  • Ensure planning conditions and statutory requirements are satisfied
Reporting & Financial Management
  • Manage project budgets, CAPEX forecasting and cost reporting
  • Contribute to Monthly Operational Reviews
  • Maintain accurate program and cashflow tracking
  • Provide clear reporting to internal stakeholders
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Asset and Finance teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, tenants and authorities
  • Manage communication strategies throughout the project lifecycle
About You You will be tertiary qualified in a building, construction or related technical discipline and bring:
  • 3–5+ years’ experience within property development or construction
  • Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of design management and construction methodologies
  • Experience in contract administration and procurement
  • Sound commercial acumen and cost management capability
  • Knowledge of planning processes, building permits and regulatory requirements
  • Strong programming and scheduling skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and project platforms such as Aconex, Procore or Bluebeam
